Leaving for Army, want some advice.

What Army schools do the other branches use?

I wasn't Army, but there are quite a few. MP, intell, arty, FO, MFF, several schools within JFKSWC, ranger school and the list goes on and on...my info is somewhat dated.

Good luck and thanks for serving to the OP.

Incorrect. We had no other services at Army MP school when I was there. No other service has Rangers, so that would be pointless. I'm pretty sure most of those other Army schools aren't used by any other services, either. Maybe a lot of Army schools were used by other services at one point in time, but not so much anymore.

Incorrect.

You don't have a clue what you're talking about.

Marines, Navy and one or two MOS's in the AF get ranger school billets....there is almost always a Marine contingent. Ranger school is just an intense small unit patrolling, leadership course, hell tons of cadets at West Point attends before they ever graduate as well...and 90% never come near a Ranger Battalion. ...MFF is conducted by the US Army. All Marine artillery MOS's are schooled at Ft Sill.

Ft. Huachuca has some 20 plus A schools for all branches

And last but not least MP's and others at the Marine Corps Detachment at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri hosts the largest United States Marine Corps detachment outside a Marine Corps base. With over 1200 students and support personnel, Ft Leonard Wood hosts Marines training at the Motor Transport Instruction School, Military Police Instruction School, Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear Defense School and the Engineer Equipment Instruction School.

Ok. I admit I was wrong on some of that. Never claimed I was 100 percent certain that no other services used those schools. Didn't realize some of those you listed even existed. The bases I served on that had training schools never had that many people from other services that I saw. We did have a couple of Marine instructors at MP school, but there were no other services attending that school while I was there.

They still doing tank school at Knox? Thought that was supposed to move to Benning around '06.

What Army schools do the other branches use? Only one I know of is Airborne.

The Army has horrible base locations, horrible barracks, horrible food. Most of the other services are way better in all of those areas, with the possible exception of the USMC. Army also usually has longer deployments than other branches. Quality of leadership, discipline, and unit integrity has seriously declined in the Army at least since the introduction of the ACU's.
