Lee .223 depriming Die.. Stuck case

The only way I have ever gotten one out was with a small shaft screwdriver, removed the decapper and started hammering with the die in the press

It has been a while, but I remember removing the decapper and then using a hammer like you described in a vise. I was not able to remove the case from the pin without breaking that part though.
 
RCBS stuck case removal kit, that will get the job done, just take your time. We have had this happen about 4-5 times in
25 - 30 years. It happens to most sooner or later. Good Luck..
 
In near 30 years of handloading I've never noticed any brand of sizing die requiring more or less lube.

Cold brass/weather makes sizing tougher. Lube in the proper locations makes a difference too.

+1 on the remover. $18.99 at Midway. Stuck cases are going to happen sooner or later if you load for rifle. Cheaper to invest in a remover than buy a new die.
