I’m using a 30-30. The new 308 is not even bore sighted yet. I’ll make a trip though. I’ll see if I can sneak away one day this week somehow and get the new rifle dialed in with the scope that’s on it.
I do not want the first shot a take at a deer to end up just wounding it.
Let me verify something with the panel of experts here before I squeeze the trigger.
If I’m zeroed in at 25 yards I’m gtg out to 100-125 and well within ethical kill shot area on a deer, correct?
been using the 25 yard zero for 30 years,1 inch low at 25 and 3 bullets in the same hole.My longest shot was 105 yards and DRT.With a 25 yard zero you're going to be higher than you want at 100 yards. I'd zero an inch low at 25 yards and then move back to 100 yards for adjusting. I'm usually about 2" high at 100 yards but I have fields and I want something closer to max point blank zero.
You coming here to mount it?Picked up my scope today
Mounting tomorrow, zeroing Thur or Friday and slaying deer Sat morning.
