Loaded Magazines in storage

I figured this might have been discussed here but not for certain. Do you guys keep your magazines fully loaded for long periods of time? Is it bad on the springs to keep them loaded while stored? Thanks for thoughts !

so far the one true long term study showed only a very small decrease in spring size with no issue related to reliability i would have no qualms about mag storage, but most of mine get emptied fast enough its a non issue

I do , the military did. But I know some say half

I do but I reduce by one round… slams home easier for some reason .

Some do store them loaded. I have seen some failures. Military does load them for long term. The weapons I use all the time, I rotate the mags once a year. That has worked for me

My understanding is it doesn't matter whether you keep mags stored empty or full. What wears the spring in a mag is the compression and expansion of the spring. So unloaded or loaded shouldn't matter. Of course an empty mag is useless. So I keep most of my mags loaded (one shy of full for rifles).

Ever clipazine i own is loaded, each and everyone of them. Like what above_all said what good is an unloaded mag!!!

I load every other round as an even number round and never use Roman numbers so a thirty round mag ends up with a total of 30 rounds but they are staggered even and odd so they feed evenly which sounds odd but it actually works.

All my mags are full capacity loaded, stored, and marked (55g vs 62 and 64g etc
