Looking for a reputable antique dealer to buy some stuff

I have a bunch of old family stuff I need to get rid of. From old (1800s) books and knick-knacks to 'vintage' tech (Motorola flip phone anyone?), including a few pieces of furniture that probably dates to the 1800s or so.

I need to clean this stuff out in the next few months and originally I thought I'd eBay some and see about an auction house for the big/old stuff. A friend suggested an antique dealer who unfortunately doesn't come as far South as GA, but it got me thinking.

Does anyone know of a reputable antique dealer that buys items? Not looking to set up a table at one of the antique 'malls' around, looking for someone in the business that knows what they are talking about and is not out there trying to rip folks off.

Any suggestions?

Good luck, when I cleaned out my parents house nobody was willing to even talk about selling antiques. If they were interested they wanted 30% commission

30% would be a bargain. I wouldn't touch any estate under $60k at only 30%.
