Looking for opinions on tractors

My family are Kubota people but last year dad got a kiote, almost the same but a better price.
If you go used, decide if you want shuttle drive or any specific shift options.
Never had a cab but I would like one. At least get a sunshade for it.
Oh, and the 3 point hitch, you want the extendable arms for when you hookup. And liquid filled rear tires with that bucket.

A buddy of mine did research for over a year before buying a Mahindra. When I started looking, he talked me into Mahindra. I am not disappointed at all. Before deciding, read up on particulate filters on tractors. Let it be known that I am not very knowledgeable on the subject, but from what I understand; tractors w a DPF must burn off the soot ever so often. During this period of time, the tractor is inoperable. Some brands can be put off to a better time, but some shut down right where you sit. The Mahindra does not use a DPF, so there is no burn off period, from what little I understand. Maybe someone can verify or clear this up? @bigB0$$

My Kubota M7060 is Completely useable during regeneration.

Follow the sticker on the dash & Idle it up till the lights do their thing & keep on getting it.


To be fair, if you’ll run it above 2000rpm more so than not, less regens are needed.


If you are going to have a loader, get a shuttle shift: the Mxx60 series Kubotas have hydraulic shuttles so you don’t have to clutch it when you change direction.

I have a Massey but if had to do over I would get a kubota 4wd with liader. You wont have buyers remorse.

Bought a Kiote DK50 about 3 years ago. Very happy with it. Built like a tank. Was about 25% less than a similarly equipped Kubota.

i have a John Deere 5205 56 hp 4x4 with loader and sunshade I bought new. Never had a single problem out of it. It's only got 380 hrs. on it.

You can't beat a kubota! I've owned fords John Deere and Allis chalmers over years but for last 15 years kubota easy on fuel and great all around tractor ! I have 4x4 with front loader and foreword reverse shuttle shift ! I use it to put round bales hay in pasture, bush hogging and moving dirt around! Great tractor! I just have canopy over top, no enclosed cab. If you're going be using it long hours in hot or cold a cab is nice!

I've had three Kubotas in the past and they are great tractors. They have become a little more pricey over the years though, so I studied the Kioti online, couldn't find any negatives so I thought I would try one. I got a 35 Hp 4WD Kioti with shuttle drive and a loader last December for 17,500.00 . I haven't had any issues yet.

I'm in the same boat an trying to decide between Kubota, Mahindra & Branson. John Deere would be my usual go to but after looking at the amount of plastic on the new ones I think I may pass.

Also the older pre emissions ones may be the way to go if you can find a used low hour unit.

I have a 1985 Massey 250. A great 40HP with 2WD. Never any problems and a Massey dealer is 7 miles down the road from me. Mine was made in England like they should be.
