All 992B movement serial numbers start with the letter C. This serial number can be found on the movement (not the case).

Maybe the company bought these watches in advance of their employees' retirement?
 
Looks like a model 10 or 16. Can't be sure by your pics. The serial number would help narrow it down. The prices you quoted seem a tad high. Pocket watches are not typically very valuable unless they have complications which this one does not. I would estimate that in good running condition at the high end it may be around $500. I'm not exactly an expert and could use more info to be sure.

No problem! I just appreciate your looking into it. Like I said, I know nothing about this watch except for the bits and pieces I've found on Google.

The watch was with a bunch of stuff I inherited. But no one in the family is familiar with it or has any idea whose it was. May have just been something that some family member took in a trade or something.
