You're headed down a slippery slopewent and messed with ti a bit today.
notables:
1- starter turns but wont engage engine. parts will cost less then $30
2- im gonna replace the clutch just to feel good about it. cost less than $45
3- gonna replace the master cylinder on the front brake with a more compact unit. cost will be $50
4- gonna re-wire the entire bike with a more simple and reliable system.
on the wiring, im gonna do this myself. ive done automotive alarms, remote starters, and general wiring repairs for a good 15 years now. this should be simple, ive already got the schematic im gonna use all drawn out. gonna have a key switch mounted on the side and im gonna use a mercedes starter button on the "dash". also gonna replace the headlight with a more compact unit, and the rest of the lighting on the bike will be LED, due to less power consumption and longer life.
im getting excited about this one, gonna be a fun project. i think im most excited about getting to do some tricked out wiring on a motorcycle, because i LOVE wiring things up.
also, insurance will be $11 a month. sweet!

See my avatar? when i bought it i said i just wanted a stock nice lookin bike. That was a good 4 or 5 grand ago. Blowing money on them is addicting loli dunno, i hope not. i have a friend who is a honda mechanic that is gonna do the mechanical work for me, he owes me a favor anyways. i got the electrical in the bag though.
i dont mind the money. i want something unique, so even if i get something that is already on the road im still gonna dump money into it. its alot easier to justify it this way if im replacing stuff that doesnt already work. my wife would castrate me if i started replacing stuff that worked fine to start with.See my avatar? when i bought it i said i just wanted a stock nice lookin bike.
