I dont understand why folks get so up in arms about what other people call their stuff.

I'm going to the classifieds now to list my Hipoint assault sniper carbine with all my Clips even some high cap assault clips oh and it comes with a box of LONG COLT ammunition it doesn't work in the carbine but it looks better on your belt.

Because wether youd like to acknowledge it or not, words are the weapons of the antigunners. By associating a word with an item, they can sway the judgement of others. Enough so, that they have people in the gun community using their words. High-capacity mags, assault rifles, etc; these words have to go. By continuing the use of them you are only furthering their agenda.

It appears that it requires shooting at people.

On a serious note, I don't like any of the BS subject line.

If a guy is selling a Rem. 700, list it as such because the seller insults everyone's intelligence when he calls it anything else.

I give a pass for these. The Mosins that were designated for snipers with the bent bolt and scope and a wee bit better trigger that were actually made or re-arsenaled that way in Russia (not Bubba's garage)..I would call those "sniper rifles" and value them more than a standard Mosin as do all Mosin collectors but only if made that way prior to import. Home made "sniper" Mosins, I consider devalued from what I'd pay for a standard Mosin or if done nicely about the same value...which isn't much to begin with so not really much of a big deal.

Got a shipping crate/coffee table I am trying to fill with these. But mine are all original except for my sniper.Yeh I said it, Sniper(its original) that I had the stock refinised. Looking to get a Hex PE version.

I'm not debating what is, and what is not a sniper rifle, or a sniper's rifle. I'm just saying most of the stuff listed as sniper rifles are nothing close. Yes sniper rifles do exist. It's just silly to see some of the rifles that are called sniper rifles. How about we start a "Show your long range precision rifle thread"?

Yes but what do people consider long range?? I'm noticing not many people shoot their "sniper rifle's" far!
