It doesn't really bother me. It's just part of the platform.

A few years ago another member who shall remain nameless called and asked me what he could do about the scratch that the safety lever on an AK makes on the receiver. I told him to trade it to me for an AR since he was just NOT an AK kinda guy.
But I have to say that this is even sillier than that since you hardly ever see that part of the AR lower.

Couple coats of spray paint gives it some time. Chews through the paint before reaching the anodizing. Much past that though and it’ll eventually saw the buffer tube off so probably wanna keep it painted up

Dirt cheap fancy charging handles gouge deeper than the high dollar ones, in my experience. Thinner, smaller tip, more psi on the tip.

Yeah my wife puts more pressure on the tip. But I ain't no sissy. I can handle it.
