If I can't sell my Glock 17 on here for $475 (calm down on the price comments - just an illustration) to another, less attractive ODT Member,(ditto on the commentary) I have to trade it in to a Gun Store or FFL - for no doubt significantly less. And I can only buy from a FFL. The cascade of repercussions are all bad for those of us without a FFL who want to buy or sell guns - and to websites with firearm classified sections. This does not make me happy.

But - while I never ask for a BOS or even an ID when I sell or trade a gun, I can easily see why a reasonable person may think that is irresponsible.

Even if they end up killing the "private sale", you can still trade with other individuals but it would just have to be done through an FFL. However, it's not traceable so I would think it's futile to even attempt such stupidity because private individuals will still be trading behind closed doors.

Morally and emotionally I am with you, but I would imagine getting caught could result in a felony conviction. That's not a good thing.
