Man pulls knife on woman in broad daylight at Southern Polytechnic campus in Marietta

On Tuesday, September 16, at 6:10 pm, a Georgia Highlands student taking classes on their Marietta site, located on the Southern Polytechnic State University campus, reported an incident. She was walking across campus to her car when she felt she was being followed. Behind the student center, before reaching her parking lot, a 6ft black male with a green shirt and black pants pulled a knife and approached her. She ran and called University Police. The Georgia Highlands student was unharmed. A search for the suspect is underway.

If you know anything about this incident or have seen anyone resembling the suspect, please contact University Police at 678-915-5555. As always, please remember to walk with others when possible and stay aware of your surroundings. Look out for one another.

How many school shootings have there been? And what make's you think the Admin. gives a poop about a girl who gets a knife pulled on her, but DOSENT get raped, stabbed or killed... They would only pretend to care if one of the 3 had happened.

The risk of allowing adults, 21 and older to carry firearms on campus is far too great a risk for the leadership to accept so let's not have any of this talk about arming the students. The appropriate response must be to ban any carried knife in public so we can "feel safer".....

Nope. Havent seen that truck either. I wonder who it is.

I am on the FSAE team though, if you have seen them.

Look what that Pseudo College for chiropractors next door to Southern Poly did, they fired the police department and got unarmed security guards. Then they passed the word to all the employees and students warning them they couldn't carry on campus even with a carry permit. But everybody's safe because they put a call box with a blue light in the parking lot.
