Marine Corps

Updates. I emailed the DI again.....appealed to his compassionate side. I finally was able to speak with my son. I reassured him all would be fine and life will continue on for him. He knows how proud I am of him which was one of his biggest concerns (as If I wouldn't be) I also told the Staff Sgt there that I would be picking him up when they are ready to discharge him. He will not ride the bus home with the other that quit. Thanks everyone for your support. I hope everyone has a Fantastic Christmas.

Wow, Howie, I just found this. Sorry to hear about your sons ordeal. The Marine Corps often forgets about the person attached to the number. I hate it that your sons dreams were ruined by an inaccurate test result, but in these times it might be the best thing for him and your family. Look for the best in it all, and try to get him to see it, too. Merry CHRISTmas to you and yours.

Another update....they have tested an retested.....he has chronic hep b. (the worst possible) will retest him when he gets home of course. Staying positive ....joining the marine corps has saved his life. He did make me laugh. Told me it wasn't bad as the Drill Instructors all lost their voices in the first two days. All the could scream was air . That's my boy!
Thanks everyone and God Bless

Now i'm told by my exwife that the recruiter says he should be coming home today...I have not heard a single thing. So the kid will arrive somewhere....have no money and no phone....Honestly...i'm kind of glad he got out....thw Military today seems a little F**ed

My daughter had a boyfriend that was dropped by the Marines due to a skin condition. When they brought him back on the bus they dropped him off at the local recruiting station where he was originally loaded on the bus. Not sure if that is what will happed with you son but just a thought.

Good Luck and God Bless.

Hate to hear this but maybe it was a blessing in disguise.
Your boy sounds like a great young man and I'm sure he would have made a fine Marine.

BTW.....why the hell is this posted in stupid stuff?

Tough break right at the moment but there must be a reason for his coming home. He will find the right direction to start and new dreams to follow. He is just starting out and has the entire world ahead of him. Best of luck to yall.

Still not home....told maybe tomorrow...maybe Friday or possibly even the following week. No idea when of how or where he will be dropped off. I have talked to him recently...and he had no info to give...then someone shouted at him to get off the phone....I told him to put that person on...but he wouldn't...then I told him to tell who ever is yelling to F**k Off ...he wouldn't do that either.....His recruiter tried to tell me he tested negative for delayed enlistment but must have been infected in the 6 months in between...Huh? He's had all immunizations..... Told the recruiter he was an absolute moron ...according to all of them he has Chronic Hep B.....no way that can happen in 6 months unless he shared a needle or took one in the Butt. Even then he was still vaccinated against it.
