Marines not trusted with functional rifles?

So, I'm a "no one" because I haven't been told by other people to be stationed somewhere that a politician was doing a photo-op? If that is what you think makes you "someone" (yes, I'm still using quotations), then you have some serious issues imo. That you can't recognize that every recent president does the same little photo-ops with troops as their personal props is somewhat disturbing. I have lots of photos, neither myself or anyone else in them is a prop for the media relations of a politician in them though. If you had any reading comprehension of the many posts I've made on the subject though, you wouldn't consider the current president to be my favorite much less someone I'd call a "fearless leader." Though apparently your hatred for this administration blinds you to such simple facts.

Your blatant attempt to imply that some stock PR photo for the previous president and the military is anything else was either out of ignorance or out of deceit. If it's the former, then you simply were given the same picture the press was and didn't recognize it. However, you decided to use that picture (whether you knew it was a PR photo or not) in a post that wanted me to use a "photo I took or someone I knew took" when you did not take it now know who took it. At that point you must have realized that you were asking me to do produce something in response to your picture which did not meet those requirements. Your justification is that the military sent you somewhere that I wasn't sent and that makes me a "no one"? The military probably didn't have you on a ballistic missile submarine with live torpedoes in the tubes after transitioning to DEFCON 3 for the first time since the Cuban missile crisis, but I'm not sitting over here calling you names because your service to the country didn't put you in that situation. You implication that my service means less or makes me less than you is as insulting as it is disgusting. If that is how you actually feel about the rest of the military then your lack of respect for the majority of the military is noted.

The only person in the military I have a lack of respect for is you. You consistently come to the defense of Obama. You have even stated you were going to vote for him. Would you like me to dig that up?

I'm leaning towards voting for him, but at least I'll admit the Nobel Peace Prize awarded to him wasn't done for anything he actually accomplished to help others. They simply didn't have any real reason to give it to anyone so they said "here, you made some nice sounding speeches around the world that didn't make people go to war and that's as good as anyone else, so have a Nobel Prize"

Countering b.s. claims that make conservatives look like idiots is not "coming to the defense" of anyone but conservatives. Again, reading comprehension eludes you. "I'm leaning towards voting for him" is not the same as "I'm going to vote for him." Care to dig up the posts where I said I didn't vote for him in 2008 or 2012? All of the b.s. conspiracy threads (should I quote the b.s. birther thread where I did exactly what the conspiracy theorists said I wouldn't be able to do?) do nothing but make conservatives look like being a conservative means losing the ability to use logic and reason completely and it drives the moderate liberals away. That's why we are seeing Congress taken over by the Pelosi types. Trying to stop the moderates from thinking everyone who doesn't think the government should control every part of our lives and spend recklessly is a redneck idiot who can't separate fact from fiction isn't "coming to the defense of Obama", it's trying to ensure that conservatives have a shot at being listened to by rational people without them treating all conservatives as kids throwing a temper-tantrum at every shadow someone tells them is scary.

Let's evaluate the premise of this thread for instance, starting with Occam's Razor. Is it more likely that Marines used ceremonial rifles, many of which are not functional, in a ceremonial parade or is it more likely that the president of the United States ordered the Marine Corps to disable the Marines rifles for the parade while allowing other groups rifles to be fully functional because, despite visiting many armed military units since first taking office, he is suddenly scared of a military assassination while standing under the full protection of the Secret Service on U.S. soil?

I really don't give a **** about moderate liberals. Referring to everyone who disagrees with your approach by calling them redneck idiots is not the way to go about anything. Insinuating we all wear tinfoil hats doesn't help either.
See stuff like this is why we will never see eye to eye on anything. You can't sit in the middle of the road and expect to accomplish anything but more of the same. Worst case you get run down from traffic coming in either direction or in this case from both sides of the isle.
