Duke’s is my second choice but Blue Plate for the win. Try cutting up an onion like rings and slicing a cucumber and marinating it overnight in apple cider vinegar with a littl sugar in it also.

Love a tomato sammich with homegrown tomatoes. Dad always had a garden he could grow anything. Iirc dad grew beefsteak tomatoes, big and meaty. Mom made mater sandwiches Sicilian style using fresh crusty bread, olive oil, and herbs from the garden.

My 13 year old eats tomatoes and onions like friggen apples! Nothin on em, never seen a kid his age do that before!!! Tomato sammich is one of his favorites

Fresh chilled sliced cucumbers and onion soaked in some vinegar and water with a little salt and pepper is just the thing on these hot summer days.

My buddy in Wisconsin (now) grows unbelievable tomatoes in Lake Como. His wife would slice them up and we'd eat them like hamburger patties.
