medical question

so some stuff and things happened this weekend... and my thumb got brusied pretty bad at the joint and has this tingling sensation that comes and goes. It happens every few hours for just 5 minutes or so. well i am too cheap to give a doc my copay for him to say "it's bruised"

all the web md, etc stuff just causes me paranoia because somehow I will end up thinking I have cancer...lol

my biggest concern is a possible fracture... i have full mobility with my thumb and no noticeable pain, discomfort, etc unless I press the bruise with my other hand.

Any of yall with hand injuries get the tingling/numbness? if so what was the outcome?

It's more than likely just a nerve that has suffered injury. It should go away in time.

Put ice on it to help get the inflamation out faster, if you haven't already. Always ice down sprains/bruises/etc... ASAP and frequently during the first 24 hrs. is best.

Ice. It'll be fine. Trust me, I'm a bad hypochondriac and I wouldn't worry about that one
