My ER Nurse wife says x-ray and 5 hours of your time and co pay. Ibuprofen and ICE. If you broke it they will splint it and wait for it to heal. You should be shooting with your right hand anyway. Your a closet right hander.

if you get nauseated when icing it it could be broken. Also, try tapping on the end with your thumb straight, if it sends shooting pain, could be broken. lastly, if you happen to have a tuning fork, you can tap it and then put the single prong end where it hurts, if it drives you crazy, most likely broken, the vibrations rattle the fracture.

Most likely a sprain. Ice and ibuprofen as directed on bottle, except take 2-3 times the recommended dose. A splint would probably be prudent to keep it from moving too much and the compression from the wraps will help keep down swelling, as well.

This advice is probably best followed immediately following the injury, but better late than never.
