I have a new to me OTF from the company above.Over the past few months, it has been more and more sluggish in opening so far as that I have to pull it out to get it to snick into place. I am not the original owner but I do have all the paperwork and the box. Any ideas if they will fix it? I have to imagine some spring or something has gotten weak and I am not about to pull this thing apart and tinker with it.

I sent one back a few years ago. They didn't ask anything about original ownership. Hope that helps.

Not a fan of the owner, but they will fix it. Before you send it in, try cleaning the guts of it. Soak the innards with alcohol, compressed air and the oil it liberally, should that care of the sluggishness that you describe. It is most likely just very dirty on the inside.

Thanks for the info. Out of curiosity, why aren't you a fan?

KRATE tactical is a much better option in my opinion have a broken Microtech now and this will be its third trip back to factory. I actually tried trading it in at KRATE tactical 😂
Krate tactical is a patent thief using inferior materials built in China and lying through their teeth about being made in Georgia.

I'm going to amend my statement but leave my original comment and say that no where on their website does it say made in USA, so not lying. I am friends with a lot of knife makers and used to live near Spyderco HQ so I'm not a fan of copycat knives. China can make some quality stuff and original stuff, but US knife companies invest a lot of time in intellectual property. Krate tactical should come up with something of their own.
