Good luck finding one at $7K or less. You'd think those trucks were made of space age metals that can't be damaged and the motor is some perpetual technology that never fails.

I had a 03 Taco pre-runner with the 2.7L that I gave to my son. He got hit in the passenger side door a few years ago and they totaled the truck and gave him over $9K for it. It had 230K miles, paint was peeling and I'd sunk almost $2K in repairs to keep it on the road. I couldn't believe they paid out that much on that truck. You want resale value, Toyota Tacoma or 4 Runner is the way to go.

Yeah the search was a tough one but I think I found it. Bright Red 2004 extended cab 2.4l 2wd with only 120k miles! Engine compartment so clean you could eat off it. New rubber, fresh tint, all current manufacturer suggested maintenance done. $7500!....a damn steal in my opinion. It drives like a new truck.


Finalizing the deal this weekend....I think he may be taking a few Smiths in trade toward the value too....that helps my bank account not get drained.

Haha yeah he's the perfect seller! He even didnt want to complete the sale last night because one of the dash lights was burned out...he wanted to fix it first. Haha
