Military exchange pulled 10+ round mags

Yeah I did too. I got caught with my pants down whipping my rear end. I had no mags, and no ammo and just a couple rifles since I just sold a few to start another build. I couldn't find any part and the ones I found were ridiculous. It won't happen again, that I can assure you. I am stacked and lacking in nothing now. I am thinking about getting a pack of GI mags since you can get them cheap now. It won't last long though.
I was thinking I was low on 6.8 mags but I went down and took a count and found out that I have already covered myself there so I was pleasantly surprised.
I'm always lacking something. :)

It will be interesting to see how this works out. Supposedly only 3% of operating costs are funded with taxpayer money. That 3% is all supposed to go to support only overseas exchanges through a DOD Non-Appropriated Fund. All stateside operations are claimed to be fully self-supported by AAFES sales...
Selling tobacco and booze at market price when exempt from taxes makes a pretty profitable business.

I swear the tax on beer, wine and spirits was one of the biggest rip offs the government ever placed on makers there ever was. I mean they could afford to pay a little but what is it now like a 20% per gallon. That's just freaking robbery. Then they turn around and say it's a free country. Then to top it off you pay tax when you go and buy it. LOL

It's just a matter of time they do the same to guns and ammo.

I'm sure they will pull the guns and ammo next. It's only been a few years since they started carrying them if I remember correctly? No doubt they will reverse that decision. Every one (retailers) is scared, better to not sell them at all then be labeled the place that some psycho bought a gun. Liability

.

Good for you - thanks for pursuing this - it helps us all.
They must be taking me serious, I just got a text message/ messages from Judd Anstey, Vice President of Corporate Communication from AAFES HQ in Dallas, TX. He is going to call me tomorrow to discuss my position and possible law suit against AAFES. We have their attention now, we need to keep the pressure on till they relent and change course.
