So, about four years ago I was able to go on Gregslist and search "military surplus" and all kinds of goodies would come up. At one point I was able to get 10 really good condition 3 day US Army packs, mag pouches, canteens etc(all for cheap). Not so much anymore. Did I just look into all that kind of stuff at a good time, or have all you crazy preppers bought it all?

A guy I found years back had a storage unit filled to the top with awesomeness. I should have bought the whole thing.

I have quite a bit. My Dad has a barn full.

Isn't there a pretty good surplus store in Roswell?

I miss the old surplus stores.

Not sure really. All the ones on Cobb Pkwy are all newer, made in China crap with a brand new price tag. I am dreaming about surplus pricing I guess.

Back in the 80's we had Old Sarge here in Douglasville, and another one on Bankhead hwy in Mableton. My uncle briefly owned one in Social Circle and my cousin owned one for many years in Tallapoosa. All gone now.

Hodge is the only one left around the metro area, that I know of, and most of their stuff is new.

There is one in Roswell, Off of Hwy 140 @ the Cobb/Cherokee county line. Can't remember the name. Pretty cool place, had a mix of new and surplus. Internet really killed the market IMO.

I bought a combat lifesaver bag from them last Fall and can't remember their name...got a Huey sittin' in their back lot.
