So here's my final product. Does this count as a FrankenGun?
Parts used (from muzzle to butt stock):
1. Trulock tactical choke
2. Firebird Precision front sight
3. Tooth and Nail Armory quad rail XN forend, level 5
4. Magpul forend grip
5. Firebird Precision charging handle
6. Tooth and Nail trigger group (original hammer, new springs and innards)
7. Firebird Precision anti-walk pins
8. Magpul MBUS - flip up back sight
9. Magpul MIAD pistol grip with Tooth and Nail internal adapter (not shown)
10. Tooth and Nail stock adapter
11. Magpul CTR collapsible butt stock (commercial spec)
Forgot to mention, I put Firebird base plates on my 10 round mags. I'll snap a pic if anyone wants. It's got a cool firebird logo on it.
Where did I get this stuff?
1. Carolina Shooters Supply (http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/servlet/StoreFront)
2. Tooth and Nail Armory (https://www.toothandnailarmory.com/)
3. Dawsonville Gun and Pawn (http://www.dawsonvillegunandpawn.com/)
This was a bunch of fun, and I'm tempted to buy another MKA and play with some of the other options that are out there.
Hope you guys like it, and thanks for looking. I'd love to see what you all have done with your 1919s.
