I have to say I agree with the SFC on this one. He did great things for this nation and was awarded appropriately. I think to try to back door an MOH would be a disservice to all that have received one. MOH should never be about politics.

Kyle himself said Carlos Hathcock was the geratest sniper of all time. Hathcock was not awarded the CMH, although I have always felt he should have achieved that distinction. It takes something extraordinary to be awarded the CMH, a stand out of all stand outs. Kyle was awarded appropriately.

When Harry Truman presented the CMH to Richard H O'Cane, USN, and Master Sergeant Charles L. McGaha, he said: "I have said it time and again, and I will keep on saying it, that I would rather have a medal of honor than be president of the United States."
