I got kinda lucky when I met the elderly gentleman I got the G43 from ,He called me and told me about a colt he was offering for sale , He also mentioned he had a G43 (whats that). I didn't go look at it for about a week ,I bought the Colt SAA 44 and told him I would like a peek at the G43. It looked good. I did some studying and called him back, he mentioned he had a Remington Rand 1911 with British markings also that had never been issued and he had owned it since 1957 .Well I went down and bought both (not cheap) ,I'm glad I got them it has been fun and a good learning experience. I'll probably never get to buy such guns again.
