Most you've ever spent or would spend on a knife?

$2 back when, probably a good bit more expensive for the quality today.

I have a couple of handmade hunting knives that are easily my most expensive. The one my Dad gave me is ram horn handle and I've never used it. The other is red stag and I have gutted and skinned at least 50 deer with it and never sharpened it. It is still like a razor. More like a laser beam. That's the biggest difference I have found in a higher dollar blade. I also have an elk horn stag handle handmade knife I bought from a guy at a gun show a couple years ago for $50 and I have used it a good bit without ever sharpening it. It is one of the best knife purchases I have ever made.

I have tons of knives and the majority of them are $20-$50...and a few $50-$100 or a little more. I've been collecting all my life.

I just ordered a custom fixed blade and karambit from a former Navy Seal who has his own company called Half Face Blades. I think both together are going to run me around $550. He makes some pretty great knives

I've seen some really nice knives that you've posted in the classifieds. Awesome! Just can't bring myself to spend that much, yet.

Bussee and scrapyard blades. Have owned some spartan blades too (not the cheap cold steel kind) good blades will stay sharp and last ya a while.

Prob wont spend more than $500 on a blade
