Mp5 Locking Piece question

I'm new to the whole roller delayed world of the MP5 and recently picked up a k clone.
I'll be using a suppressor with it and have been reading about it on the interwebs.
Unfortunately, everyone has different information, some people say to use a 80 locking piece, others say leave it alone.
Even HK and other manufacturers have weighed in (with conflicting info)

I'd rather not cause any damage by using the wrong locking degree while suppressed, but also don't want to change it from OEM if necessary.

So I'll ask the ODT gunsmiffs.
Should I change to an 80 degree locking piece or leave it original for running 147gr sub with a suppressor?

Mines OEM.

I've never ran an 80 degree one, even on a trigger pack FA.

OEM here with heavy slugs and other subsonic rounds, sometimes suppressed and sometimes not. Binary trigger pack. No issues….

I think you only really need the 80 degree piece when using the MP5K suppressed full auto. Semi auto it shouldn't really make that much of a difference. I think the only potential issue you might have is if you used some hot load while suppressed you could get some roller divots.

Well it's going to be suppressed most the time but my finger ain't fast enough to pretend to be full auto

Realistically how many rounds are you gonna be shooting? If it's 20k+ then sure but I doubt you'll ever put enough for it to matter. Leave it oem imo.
