I'm starting to like AKs more than ARs. Just got this Romanian SAR-1 yesterday. Nice find at $700 with a un-used 75 round drum and 6 used Korean 30 rounders. Furniture is slightly off colored but nice. Might buy different furniture for it. I had to clean it really well but looks to be lightly used. Now to probably find somebody local who can thread the barrel on it.

Aks are the superior platform with the superior cartridge. They just don't have the following of Ars. The aftermarket has really caught up and you can get lots of good parts, should you want to swap something around.

Yeah I was looking at quite a few different side folders, and I have mostly pmags, couple bakelite, and some steel chinese. The koreans look good but time will tell lol

I don’t know about local, but I’d trust ADCO to thread it.

An MI sidemount with a 1-4 or fixed 2.5 X and its instantly any AR's equal .Then all the other gadgets.Enjoy
