Early 2000s Nissan Altima is a great longevity bet. Another good choice is a ten to fifteen year old Suzuki Gran Vitara with the 4 cyl.

I voted for the bike because that's what I'd choose, but my life is full of bad choices... Realistically I'd choose the F-150.

I'm also gonna buck the trend and naysay on older Hondas. I have, several times now, witness people take a maintenance bath on older CRVs. Bad AC compressors. Bad radiators. Transmission issues. All in the 100K to 200K miles range.

If I was closer I would give you a ride. I daily a 2001 Ranger with 180k on the clock, 4.0 V6, runs like a tractor. Not the quickest, not the most comfy, needs about 1000$ worth of work but I beat the **** out of it every day and it keeps on. Its about time I sell it for something that will **** out on me in 3 weeks.....[/
