My dad give me a brand new, unfired (besides factory) unhandled ruger p85,that has been sitting in the safe since atleast 1990. Thanks dad. I love this gun. Sentimental value in the purest form, I dont know if I will ever shoot it. Its not a collector but it is awesome.

Shoot it! Ruger P series may be heavy bricks, but they are great shooters. And if you run out of ammo, you can club them to death with it.

That's awesome. Shoot the thing.... That's what it's made for. A good chunk of my collection is made up of guns either purchased for me by my dad when I was younger or passed on. My dad is a big Browning guy and several are Belgium made. I love taken them afield, as I feel he's there with me.
