My Hero

OK, potentially stupid question...does snake venom not affect dogs the way it affects humans? I'm pretty sure if I caught a cottonmouth bite to the shin, I couldn't sleep it off with some benadryl.
.
GOD made dogs to handle the venom. They don't get a pass, she was pitiful for a while, but they do survive. My oldest son's dog got bit by a copperhead a few years ago and we didn't think she was going to make it but she pulled through.
.

.
UPDATE:

After being better and up and around yesterday with grandkids, my wife and I, Lacy is back to her old self today. She's running around and playing with her ball! She still has a little swelling on her muzzle where she got bit, but seems like herself again.
THANK YOU LORD!

Interesting. I guess I never knew that. Glad the old girl is doing better!
