78 xs 650. This thing has been crawling around in my brain for years.
Finally found one and got it started.

Step 2
Built the carbs,tc bros wiring harness,tc bros steering stem, a hand full of gixxer parts,some time with the grinder and saws all, and some machine shop time with the the swing arm.

And today
Arm back from the machine shop,now I need to build the suspension mounts for the rear, put the engine back on,chain and brakes,test ride,and then blow it back apart for paint and powder coat.

i saw a street tracker in about 08,ever since i have been building one in my head. i cut down the swing arm back in October,i just got it back from the machine shop last night. i had to take about a half inch off each side,then get spacers made to adapt about a 24 mm axle down to a 16 mm. now i can build my linkage (i can do that at my shop) then i am real close to getting it ready to ride..
i will post up as i go..

Little update..
She is gonna get a 750cc kit a little early. She smokes a little .. gotta hook up back brakes,but I got to ride her yesterday. Long way from road ready and just a temporary seat...but...
