My poor old truck...

2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi just turned 300k
Life time warrenty engine/transmission/drive train. This one will be driven till the wheels fall off.

As a youngster in the 70s I recall hearing of auto's with over 70k miles as being worn out? Has the time's and quality of vehicles gotten better? Or was this just teen's abusing vehicles and destroying them?

I had a 1997 Ram 1500 pick up with the 5.9L that had 237,000 when I sold it last year. Original transmission and motor. My parent's bought a Chevy Lumina sedan in 1995. When I inherited it in 2013 it had 48k on the odometer. It has 97k on it now. It's like driving a couch. Runs great and low cost to maintain.

The quality of car's today is way better than the 70s.

92 F150 with 155,000 miles. I only drive it about 5000 a year on a busy year. It has the straight 6 and runs like a champ
