Only the person who applied the sleeper could awaken the sleepee (with a slap to the back) LOL. Fans would go nuts when the bad guy would attempt to leave the ring with his opponent still unconscious.

I come up in the Bob Armstrong,mr wrestling #2,the assasins days——when ol flair come along that’s when things started showboating.talk was always he and Gordon Soley were lovers.

When I was growing up wrestling was on WRAL in Raleigh.
Rooted for Argentine Rocca who wrassled barefoot.
Had a school mate that was strictly schooled by his father.
Mr. Rich was smart enough to build his own observatory
including the telescope and ground the lenses himself.
He never missed the Saturday wrestling on TV and got
so involved he'd be yelling at the screen. We always
cleared out when all that started.

Nature Boy must be pushing 80 by now.
