I've purchased upward 10 of these over the last few years to give as gifts and never spent more than $23 including shipping for one
The blade steel is CR13Mov, not bad but not great. I usually have to strop the blade on leather about once a week and re-sharpen it every other month to a razors edge. It retains a fair edge depending on usage
I was told the sheath would eventually fail, it hasn't
