Need help deciphering this Ariska rifle.

I scored this is a trade for some work.
I looked up the markings online and it appears to have markings of a model 38 rifle but the stock definitely looks like a sporterized aftermarket or more modern than the Ariska stocks I’ve seen online.
It also appears that someone drilled through the flower marking and the model number (in Japanese), possibly for scope mounts.
The action is smooth and it seems well built but I would just like some more info of anyone cares to ponder on this.
The barrel is rifled so it’s not a blank shooting training rifle.
