Need help spotting a fake Marine.

He could be a Marine and not be a super sniper.

I met a guy who was on VA disability. I have no doubt he served but he felt the need to embellish. He said he was a 88M assigned to "Delta Force" as a "sniper". (Army guys will know why this is funny)

If every story you ever heard about the military was true, we would have had no cooks, admin, or quartermasters.

He claimed his dad burned his military stuff because he was dishonorably discharged.

DD-214 Will show Service Branch, dates entered and Exit, Rank, Conflict duty if applicable, Decorations earned..If it was distroyed he can still get another one..Just request it in writing..DD

I wouldn't waste a minute on this guy. If he's as bad as you say then just cut ties to the loser and move one. No need to spend energy on people like this.


But his TA50 does look legit in that photo for the time frame. He may have well served like many losers and then got the boot for being crazy. Just because someone has a DD214 doesn't make them a good person. I've served with MANY mentally unstable people.

He also claims his dad beat him in the head with a bat when he was 7 and it gave him DOCUMENTED mental problems.
That I can beleive because it would explain a lot but if he had documented mental problems, would he still be able to join the military?
