Title says it all. Interested in getting one, but I don't know jack about them. Nada. Nothing.

What are some good brands/brands to avoid, how easy or hard are they to operate, etc. Are all pellets created the same, or do they vary due to the brand?

It's just the wife and I, with the occasional cook for the holidays and entertaining thrown in, so I'm thinking a medium sized unit might work for us?

We'd be cooking brisket, pork butt, 2-3 racks of ribs, a mess of chicken wings...that kind of thing. I can't imagine we'd ever do anything big like a turkey, but you never know.

Any help, advise, tips, things to avoid would be helpful and welcomed.

I also love my Rec Tec I have the small one since it's just the wife and I. I liked that they are a GA company and all grill sizes used the same parts so if down the road you need something it's easy to get. And the customer service is top notch.

He smoked my trailer chains too......
