NEF Pardner Shotgun that has misstamped guage ??

I have had this NEF shotgun for several years that I picked up at a pawn shop here in my town. It is stamped Pardner 12 guage but its a 20 guage. I have never noticed it before until one day my son brought it to me saying he couldnt get a 12 guage shell in it. I have shot it ever since I have had it but just never looked at the stamp. I could just tell from the barell size on what shells to put in my pocket. Does anyone else out there have one thats misstamped or heard of NEF having this problem? It doesnt bother me at all but just curious if mine is the only misstamped one out there.

If you want a brand new one, I would bet you could call them up. Probably would give you a new one just to get that old one out of circulation. That is pretty embarrassing.

I looked around on my computer to see if there were any problems like that out there but couldnt find anything. I'm happy with the gun but its now a conversation piece among my shooting buddies.
