With someone like that you just make sure you carry an empty can around in your vehicle with a twenty stuffed in and hanging out. When you see him you make sure you throw it at his feet and tell him thanks for keeping your roadside clean.

I actually tried to give him a reflective belt once to increase his visibility at night. HE REFUSED THAT EVEN! Whether dark or light he is pushing or riding his bike up and down the highway flinging roadkill off or picking up trash.

It's people like that that you want to help ! But how do you do it ?

There are a lot of people truly down on their luck who just need a hand. There are a lot that are just lazy scammers hiding from society and not wanting to work . The challenge in life is to figuire out which ones to help . It's a moral thing and because of my daughters " influence " on me I tend to help them out . Are they angels in disguise ? I don't know . But I think I'll err on the side of caution and help them .
