Never Shoot Someone Else's Handloads

Wow. I have a buddy that reloads and he's damaged 3 of his own guns that I know of. A mini-bomb right next to your face, better be sure it's assembled correctly.
Two rules of thought here: One, never shoot his ammo. Two, never buy one of his guns........And probably, never be anywhere close to where he is shooting......

Probably already suggested. I bet he was dipping those powder charges. Hell even a bad scale won't be that inconsistant. Glad you're alright. The gun can always be replaced. I had a guy bring me a mini 14 his brother blew up with gun show reloads. That's another No No.

My buddy loaded for me for over 30 years never a hiccup I trust his as much as factory.sorry you experienced it.
He told me he locks himself in loading room away from all outside activity so he had no extraction.he also loads each load individually.said he don’t trust them powder droppers.measures, and pours each casing.
When I load I put my phone on silent or maybe some music and I sit there and concentrate. Otherwise no other distractions. Things can get ugly quick if you **** up. Luckily the worst thing I've ever done is forget to charge one case and had a squib but I knew instantly and knocked the bullet out and kept shooting. Reloading is a hobby you have to pay attention to.

When I do load development when I fire the first max charge weight I always get the rifle into the berm and move my head off the stock so my face isn't right behind the bolt.

I've seen ****ers try to squeak out every FPS possible and shoot rounds over max weight and the firing pin comes out and hits them in the face

That's it. Load for yourself and immediate family only. Anything else and you're asking for trouble dealing with the public
I loaded ammo commercially for about 5 years during the obama era. Made a **** ton of money and never had one incident or claim against us. Thankfully. Got out at the right time, made the money and bailed. We're talking hundreds of thousands of rounds of various pistol calibers and mostly 223/556.

I've only had two exceptions. My brother in law, he taught me how to load. And I may not be able to trust him anymore. And a friend that used to load like yourself. He's passed away now

I never go full max charge, ever!! I'm more like less 10% for safety reasons. I know y'all will laugh. Oh well.....My loads thread a needle too
