So being a lazy Saturday for me, I decided to peruse my LGS to see what I could that would interest me in a possible new firearm. Having a decent selection of firearms already locked up in the safe, it gets kind of hard to see something that gets me really excited that is of a moderate price. I'm sure many of you have that same problem (from what I can tell).
I checked out a few, tried a few on for size, and there she was. I have heard that SIG was considering entering this little gem into the bidding process for the Army's new potential sidearm. I did not realize how really nice it was until I actually held it in my hand (first mistake) for a Polymer Handgun anyway. At any rate, The SIG P320 is from what I can tell from online reviews and the feel in my hand, quite the little gem that people have been talking about. I found my new toy in FDE and not owning many in that flavor, I decided to buy it. I must add that I am generally not a Polymer Firearm kind of guy but, owning a few from the Glock persuasion if they work, then they work and that's pretty much all there is to that.
Since I have plans to shoot a round or 2 of Skeet on Sunday, I will probably just take this one with me to put a box or two through it. I understand that it is also a completely Modular System, that can change calibers buy simply buying a kit for each caliber you want and just use your own firing mechanism.
I did try the SIG P250 a couple years ago but did not like that one much. I must say that the trigger and reset on this little P320 Compact is pretty awesome and surprising right out of the box. We will see how she shoots and carries.
Hope you enjoyed the read.
