Newbie to site and firearms

Welcome Joe. I carry a .40 and prefer it to almost anything else. Winchester or Federal FMJ's, target loads will help you get in the groove. I use Federal Hydra Shock for defense. I can't recommend Remington anything other than shotgun shells.

Welcome, I Love my XDM 9mm i always buy the cheap bulk 250rd boxes at wallmart and the xdm likes it a lot. I have prob put close to 1k rounds through it maybe more and its still like new

Recently purchased xdm 40 have yet to buy bullets kinda regretting my decision to start off with a .40 cal any suggestions on gun ranges bullets and or recommendations for start off weapon will be greatly aprreciated. I would one day luv to own an AR 15

You should start with a 9mm. A glock 19 or 17 will treat you much better than a .40.

-I don't like .40. Has more recoil than like.

Now that is refreshing to see.

I got no experience with a 40. I'd check Wal Mart for range fodder I usually buy my 9mm range fodder there. For carry ammo you need to try at least a few different brands to be sure to find one that runs in your firearm (most likely they all will) then to find what your firearm prefers.

I carry the Federal HST round.

No reason to regret the 40 tho you may find you don't really care for it later. I suppose one could see that as a reason for regret...

I have a handgun I sorta regret buying. I sorta regret buying it because I bought it for my wife who later decided she couldn't carry it because she can not run the slide to her satisfaction. Only sorta because I got what I think is a steal of a deal and it just happens to be the exact size I prefer for a carry piece, only I already had one of them (not a bad idea to have a spare tho).
