so, I currently have a DD 300BLK 10.5 factory sbr, and a PSA 5.56 10.5 CHF SBR that I also built a 4.5" 22lr upper for. I have the hankering for a high quality 11.5 or 12.5 5.56 setup. I'm debating between building a BCM 11.5 upper and getting a mini can to put on my DD lower, or sucking it up and grabbing a KAC SR 15 complete 11.5 SBR. Budget including stamp is $2500 (I've found a KAC SR 15 for sale new at $2037)

What say you ODT - anyone have first hand experience with either? Any recommendations?

Build a 12.5" 6.8! The 6.8 is optimized around 12.5~. Good hunter out to 300~

That is my favorite AR currently. I took a DD Ambush 6.8 and cut it down to ~13" and put a 2-10 scope on it. Its a hog and deer hammer and I can hit my 500yd gong like clockwork with it.

save the $, buy an AR pistol, add the SB Tactical brace, and be happy. Buy ammo with the hundreds you saved.
