NFALawyers Initial Review of 41P

HD, please excuse my ignorance, but does this mean after the 180 days, one would have to do the above in order to get a trust or that an existing trust holder would have to do the above in order to add items to said trust?

According to what Dean wrote, only new purchases on or after 1july2016. Anything before or currently pending/submitted is g2g without the new required stipulations.
Ok, I was wondering if the 2 year stipulation was for new purchases or existing. I have my first 2 stamps pending and have no approved forms on file.

Wondering the same as others.

If we can submit/ or have something pending before July 1st are we grandfathered in on the old rules?

Or is it that only items approved before July 1st are grandfathered in and anything pending will need to be updated before it can be approved?

If it is the latter that would suck cause knowing them the would just close down the system till July 1st, then make everyone re submit under the new ruling.

I wanted to get an sbr within the next year our two but I guess I'm not getting one, I'm not getting fingerprinted to own a damn rifle. Maybe one day in my lifetime they will do away with the NFA.... or atleast a man can dream lol

Im pretty certain they will be "grandfathered" in. As suggested however, Dean can reconfirm this.

I guess it's time for that SBR I have been putting off and a pistol can and I'll be good to go before I have to jump through any extra hoops!

To all you guys saying there is no way you are getting fingerprinted...

Do you guys not have a Concealed Weapons Permit?

You had to be fingerprinted for that. They already have everything on you. Yeah it sucks monkey nuts, but are you going to let something so minimal that you have already done hold you back from obtaining what you want?

If you don't have CWP for those reasons then I'm not talking to you.
