Nicest bottle of Whisky or Whiskey

I'm always wandering off and trying something different, but I always come back to my favorite. Gotta go with the Knob Creek. But now it looks like I have to try the Four Roses.

The cheaper, yellow label, is a good bourbon but try to find a bottle of the small batch, it is really excellent. The yellow label is a blend of all ten? Of their mash recipes. There are four different small batch blends- fruity, spicy, floral and something else. They are all distinct. I liked the spicy, my wife the fruity.

The Four Roses Single Barrel was a real surprise, what a great bourbon

That's what I got my buddy for a Christmas gift last year. It is good stuff. I like mine over a few ice cubes.

Buffalo Trace is hard to beat for the money

true. Excellent choice for a "budget" bourbon.

Oban 14 for the single-malt and Pigs Nose for a great (and cheaper) blended scotch. Throw in a good Padron cigar and you have the beginning of a good evening.

Too cheap for the really good stuff. I'm staring at a bottle of Maker's Mark right now. Usually get the Turkey 101. Ain't bourbon, but I got this french stuff on sale awhile back called Bastille. Good taste, but went down just a bit too smooth. Went for another bottle and it had gone from $12.99 to $27.99 so I passed. Not much of a mixer lately, if I get the urge, I just drink rot gut Vodka my wife has soaked fruit or other weird stuff in.

I too love those expensive single malt scotches, but I also appreciate something good at a decent price!
For those who "slum" like I do and drink Johnny Walker Red and Dewars White Label:
Famous Grouse Scotch is a great bargain, and it's Black Grouse upscale offering is an absolute steal when compared to Chivas Regal or JW Black Label!
