No Love For The 38 Special

Oh hell yeah I shoot them all the time. Target practice with 357 rounds would break you in a month. Anyway you can't shoot plates at River Bend Gun Club with magnum rounds. Good 357 ammo is high as hell.
 
I also have a 38 spl Victory circa 1943...lettered by Jinks.
Original 4" barrel...non-military. Shipped new to a ship yard in Oregon

The one I have was chambered in 38 Smith & Wesson originally, later bored out to 38 Special. This one was sent to the UK for the war effort and re-patriated after the war. People who know more than me about these said it would have had a 5" barrel and was changed out when returned to the states. According to them, snub guns were very popular at the time and the shorter barrel was attached. :noidea:
