I have a S&W that I picked up for the wife. The gun will handle +P but the wife won't...

Ah... I have a somewhat similar situation with mine but she's coming around to the fact that what you PRACTICE with is one thing... in the extremely small chance you ever use it for SD... the recoil will be the LAST thing you'll notice or care about.
