Seems like the one scam I see the posted about the most recently are for the WTB section.

Therefore, eliminate the WTB thread...

I like the idea of a thread/forum just for scams.

quick way around is to ask for verification in a picture...aka write username and date or some phrase you decide at the moment and ask them to send a pic but agree wtb is first place they stop

Add in anyone that has over 3 negs gets banned.

Only allow new users if they are vouched for by an existing user. If new user gets banned for scamming, so does user who vouched.
Yes, major PITA, but it would work.
Outside of that, disallow all foreign IP registrations by default.
And for the love of God, DO NOT SEND MONEY OR GOODS TO PEOPLE YOU DON'T KNOW.
Bad deal button will be abused as well. Voting buttons for good, average, bad. Then display results for largest category as "95% say good (or bad, or average) deal."
