No wonder I'm in pain

Y'all hang in there. Mine ain't near as bad. Been dealing a long time. I have my days, but anti-inflammatories generally get me through. If that doesn't work, I just have to rest. Could be one day or several. Not just my back. I guess any joint or joints except elbows or toes can get me down. Just depends on the day. Plenty times I didn't do anything to cause the pain. Including just sitting in a chair. I'll take what I have over y'alls any day.
I think sitting in a chair at my mothers eye doctor yesterday morning is what caused this new flareup, I'll stand or lay down for the next few days and hope the anti-inflammatory meds calm things down.

Hope what ever happens you get better man. Be careful with pain pills, had knee surgery a few years back and had to wean off the pills and went through opioid withdrawal, called the doc and they said just take some more pain pills, well duh that leads to addiction if your not careful.

Thank you.

My go-to is Ibuprofen, and Hydrocodone is there when I really need it.

In know is what you mean. Something as simple as brushing my teeth can result in complete loss of mobility and last for days. I have hard wood floors and vacuuming that is easy because the vacuum just rolls across it but I can get through one room and it flares up. People that are lucky enough to get through life without it are ignorant of the situation because I have heard them say you are faking it. Boy do I want to lay into them!

At least I never had that

What health ins. company do you have? Just curious why it took so long to get approval.
I was transitioning from Blue cross Blue shield to Medicare and Humana when this popped up, so my situation got pushed to the side and my surgeon is in high demand. Kind of a perfect storm, but I am hanging tough.

I was just chatting with my best friend's wife from my high school days, she went through 2 total spine fusion last year due to compression fractures. It's her 3rd spine fusion since an auto accident nearly killed her not long after she married my friend decades ago. I know it's not a competition, but my situation is like a muscle spasm compared to what she has gone through for decades.

I wouldn't wish that kind of pain on anyone. Either one of you. I've had my back bad enough I couldn't even move my big toe. My Wife had to move me around because I couldn't. I've heard nightmares about ins. companies either taking so long to approve or just flat deny it

Fusion would be a last resort for me, the horror stories that I have heard from those that chose that option were more than enough to convince me to avoid that 'solution'.
Had my L4/L5 fused in 2019 - best decision I ever made. But I had no disc to trim down. Inverse I have heard nothing good about these disectomy procedures. You’re just putting duct tape on the problem. The disc is probably beyond repair. I wouldn’t do it.
