Are they a good 1911 ?

Good steel

Very hard steel. Made to milspec tolerances...They were used frequently by the better 1911 builders in days gone by because of their affordability, and longevity. Rumor has it that they were actually made from railroad track steel. But, as with any 1911, they have to be built right, or at least tuned by a knowledgable 1911 guy...

I had one years ago and wish I never got rid of it. Sold it to a guy in my battalion.

I remember back in the late 80s early 90s King's, Novak's, etc were doing some really great work ups with these. Solid custom guns.

Paid $179 for mine new. I could have bought it or a Norinco Uzi for the same price. At the time, I wound up putting $500 worth of parts into the 1911.
